Dear Freedom Fighters

As the newly elected president of the Motorcycle Riders Foundation I would like to formally thank your organization for its support of motorcycle freedoms. It is organizations like yours, fueled by individuals willing to take time from their lives to attend to the tasks at hand and conferences like the recent Meeting of the Minds that combine to make motorcyclists an effective voice in the political arena. It is only through membership organizations like yours that we can assure adequate support of the Motorcycle Riders Foundation making it possible for us to maintain a full time presence in Washington D.C.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their active support of our recent motorcycle issues: health insurance equity (HIPPA), motorcycle design restrictions (EPA), and the reauthorization of T21. These three issues are very important in preserving the future of motorcycling, as we know it today. Each of these issues is an on-going concern. As motorcyclists each of us needs to maintain to commitment to keep in contact with your state and federal legislators. If possible, work with your organization to plan a lobbying trip to Washington D.C. to meet with your legislators in DC to discuss these issues and gain their support.

For more information on how your organization and individuals can gain from a working relationship with the Motorcycle Riders Foundation visit our web site at www.mrf.org.
